This August was certainly different than any other August in my memory. Our family spent most of it in our backyard, enjoying the mild Seattle summer weather with our two rambunctious kiddos.

Thankfully there were many familiar things, too: tons of tomatoes and zucchini, homemade ice cream and popsicles, and pizza on the grill (we tried it for the first time; what took us so long?!)
